Abstract:
What does multimodality look like before, during and after covid? How should we (re)think multimodality as a core part of our centers’ identity beyond covid and why does it matter? This interactive roundtable highlights the evolving nature of multimodality based on given exigencies. In particular, we will reflect on and discuss three contexts: pre-covid, covid, post covid, and how they shape the different elements of multimodality in our (online) writing centers. We will also identify lessons we can transfer to multimodality as evolving under other exigencies.
