Webinar: Building Positive Attitudes Toward Asynchronous Feedback

July 21 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm EDT

This webinar contributes to ongoing conversations about asynchronous feedback, focusing on the question of how administrators can train staff in order to maximize the utility of asynchronous feedback for writers while minimizing potential pitfalls for tutors. This interactive webinar, led by Dr. Ashton Foley-Schramm, Associate Director of the OU Writing Center, will open with a poll asking participants about their perceptions about asynchronous feedback. Dr. Foley-Schramm will then describe a new self-guided training module created for the OU Writing Center’s staff. The webinar will conclude with a brainstorming session among participants around best practices for providing asynchronous feedback. Ideas from the group will be collected via a Shared Google Doc that will be available post-session.
