DESCRIPTION:Webinars provide a space to share experiences\, ideas\, strategies\, and questions about online writing centers (OWCs). \nEvent Details\n\nPresenter: Rikki Corniola\nTitle: “What’s Your Story?: Work backwards from your goals to identify data points and evidence to support your writing center”\nHosting Organization: Online Writing Centers Association\n\nThis webinar will engage the audience in a discussion of the story they want to tell administrators about their writing center\, and how to work backwards to identify necessary data collection to help them tell that story effectively. We will encourage participants to consider the data they already collect for their writing center\, what they need to collect to tell their story\, how to set clear goals/outcomes for the writing center and how to align those with institutional goals and outcomes. \n\nASL Interpretation and Recording\nWe work with Morr Interpreting to provide American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters in each webinar. Webinars are recorded\, given edited closed captions\, and shared in our Event Archive up to 2 weeks after the event date. \nGuidelines for Participating\nWebinars are currently held in a Zoom Pro room. Participation is open to everyone\, including not-yet OWCA members. To ensure our interpreters are visible and can translate without auditory or visual distractions\, we ask that participants keep their audio and video turned off during the event. Participants are welcome to ask questions and contribute in the chat. \nRecording\nThis event will be recorded\, and the recording will be available to the public. \nRegister\nYou can register for a webinar through the scheduling system below. Follow these steps: \n\nSelect your time zone from the drop-down menu\nClick the “Register” button next to the event you’d like to attend\nFill out the registration form and click “Complete Registration”\nSave your confirmation email to have the Zoom information or cancel your registration later.
