DESCRIPTION:Webinars provide a space to share experiences\, ideas\, strategies\, and questions about online writing centers (OWCs). \nEvent Details\n\nPresenters: Dr. Wendy Stewart\nTitle: “AI and Academia”\nHosting Organization: Online Writing Centers Association\n\nDr. Wendy Stewart of Miles College\, who is well versed on the impact of AI in academia as well as strategies that we as professionals can use to incorporate AI into our work. You can find out more about her work at her LinkedIn page. \n\nASL Interpretation and Recording\nWe work with Morr Interpreting to provide American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters in each webinar. Webinars are recorded\, given edited closed captions\, and shared in our Event Archive up to 2 weeks after the event date. \nGuidelines for Participating\nWebinars are currently held in a Zoom Pro room. Participation is open to everyone\, including not-yet OWCA members. To ensure our interpreters are visible and can translate without auditory or visual distractions\, we ask that participants keep their audio and video turned off during the event. Participants are welcome to ask questions and contribute in the chat. \nRecording\nThis event will be recorded\, and the recording will be available to the public. \nRegister\nYou can register for a webinar through the scheduling system below. Follow these steps: \n\nSelect your time zone from the drop-down menu\nClick the “Register” button next to the event you’d like to attend\nFill out the registration form and click “Complete Registration”\nSave your confirmation email to have the Zoom information or cancel your registration later.
